We build platforms for employee communication, allowing our customers to have better outreach to their employees. Become part of the Staffbase world!

Hi, I’m Marlene. I’ve been working in Employer Branding since the end of 2019 and get to help Staffbase build a compelling, authentic and sustainable employer brand.

There is a lot of variety in my job. Every day is different, and I can always adapt to new projects and situations. As a result, I don’t have any set routines, but am constantly learning new things and expanding my skills. In particular, the many interfaces with other teams (recruiting, specialist departments, leadership) are what make my day-to-day work so appealing.

Who is Staffbase?

Staffbase was founded in 2014 by Frank Wolf, Dr. Martin Böhringer and Dr. Lutz Gerlach. The company builds platforms for employee communication, giving customers better access to their employees.

Staffbase is valued at over one billion Euros, making it one of the few so-called “unicorns” in Germany; the first in eastern Germany, excluding Berlin.

What do you value most in an applicant?

As a SaaS company, we naturally have a strong need for developers. In addition, our “Go to Market” team is crucial to the success of the product. This includes classic sales roles, marketing positions and customer support.

When it comes to the ideal candidate, we don’t have a standardized answer here. We are looking for open-minded, curious and motivated people with a sound basic education in the relevant specialist areas. We encourage a high degree of personal responsibility in our work. We are particularly concerned with compatibility with our corporate culture in addition to professional suitability.

The Saxony/Dresden region offers us as a company …

We have our second largest office in the world in Dresden. This makes the location enormously important for us when it comes to recruiting talented employees of all ages. The very good education at the Technical University of Dresden, as well as the many other universities in the city, provide us with good access to young talent. Saxony is an important hub for us, as we have our headquarters in Chemnitz and the region plays a key role for us both in recruiting skilled workers and in raising the profile of the company.

Is there anything unusual that you would like to share?

Perhaps unusual is our down-to-earth work culture. We have company bicycles instead of company cars (with no exceptions up to the CEO). And for all of you sports fans: our offices in Saxony are all equipped with one or two highlights. In Chemnitz you can shoot some hoops with us on our own basketball court, in Dresden we have an airfield hockey table and in Leipzig you can join us for a table tennis match.
